Fire station gets upgrades

       The White River Township fire station on Runyon Road is getting a much needed upgrade to its bunk room facility.  As shown in the photo below, an original window to the 1956 building is being replaced with a much more insulated one.  "The current window is very drafty," said Fire Chief Howard Bennis.  The work is being done in conjunction with other small upgrades throughout the building that are being done to make life a little easier for the two paid-on-call firefighters that are on-duty around-the-clock at the station.  Also in the photo below with Chief Bennis are Lieutenants Scott Cassin and Damon Duncan.
