Firefighters put on display

       The White River Township Fire Department held its annual Fire Awareness Day over the weekend in the parking lot across from the Kroger grocery store.  The event is held in conjunction with the national Fire Prevention Week campaign going on all week and is designed to raise awareness of fire and other emergencies that could occur in the township.  One of the highlights of the day-long Fire Awareness Day was a simulated car fire where firefighters extinguish a fire set in a junk car.
