A day in the life of a fire station

       The following photos were taken earlier today at the White River Township fire station on Runyon Road in northern Johnson County.  The photos depict an average day at the firehouse where volunteer firefighters spend time doing various things including playing basketball, watching television, or just simply sharing in camaraderie among friends.  The scene is typical at fire stations across the county where firefighters gather and spend time together awaiting the next call for help.
