Fire department puts on display

       White River Township firefighters put on a Fire Awareness Day program at the Bank One building on State Road 135 on Saturday.  The event is in conjunction with the nationwide Fire Prevention Week campaign that is going on all week.  The Fire Awareness Day was set up to allow individuals from the community a first-hand look at their fire department and some of the equipment that is available.  As a bonus feature, firefighters simulated a serious automobile accident and used the Jaws of Life to extricate the victim.
