Teenager trapped in auto accident

A Greenwood teenager was injured Friday afternoon when she ran her car into the back of a dump truck.  Marit Olsen, 17, suffered a possible broken leg when the car she was driving smacked into the back of a truck loaded with gravel.  Olsen was admitted to St. Francis Hospital Center in Beech Grove, and was listed in satisfactory condition Friday night.  The girl was driving along Stones Crossing Road about 12:54 p.m. near the entrance to the Willow Lakes addition when the accident occurred, said Lt. Scott Cassin of the White River Township Fire Department.  The force of the impact crushed Olsen’s car around her, Cassin said. It took firefighters 68 minutes to remove the girl from the wreckage. “We had to pull the roof off ... we had to remove just about the entire car;” Cassin said.  (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
