Farm house used for fire training
Firefighters from the White River Township volunteer fire department deliberately burned a house to the ground this past weekend. The fire was set as part of a training exercise using a donated house that was scheduled to be demolished. The property the house sits on has been sold to a developer that is building the new Willow Lakes subdivision. Firefighters have been using the house for the past month for various training evolutions that culminated with the burning of the entire house.
