Live fire training class conducted

       White River Township firefighters, along with those from Greenwood and Wayne Township fire departments,  participated in a live fire training exercise at a farm located on State Road 135, between Smith Valley and Olive Branch Roads.  The house used for the exercises was donated by the owner for use by the various departments in order to simulate live fire scenarios.  Members from the White River Township Fire Department had been using the structure for several weeks now practicing multiple drills and other tactical scenarios.  The house was completely burned down late today as part of the final drill.  The area is being cleared for the new Buckmoor Manor housing development due for immediate construction.  See a related story HERE.
