Firemen choose officers
White River
Volunteer Fire Department members finished naming 1985 officers during their
monthly meeting Sunday night. Larry Robinson and Kevin Demaree were made
captains and Bill Foote and Glenn Duthie were elected lieutenants. Damon Duncan
was appointed Fire Department chaplain. In December, Bob Henry was chosen chief
and Pat McDaniel was elected assistant chief. At that time, Robinson and
Demaree were chosen to continue serving as department secretary and treasurer,
respectively. Department members chose Demaree, 27, 790 N. State Road 135,
Greenwood, as fireman of the year for 1984. Demaree last year was a lieutenant
and was primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing the department’s
fire trucks and rescue unit. Demaree was also appointed public information
officer for 1985.
