Cadet program holds open house
Last evening, the White River Township Volunteer Fire Department Cadet Program held an open house for parents and other individuals wishing to become cadets. The Cadet Program is a sub-group of the fire department consisting of high school students ages 14-18 years who wish to become firefighters after graduation. The open house was intended to raise awareness of the program while at the same time demonstrating some of the skills learned by those already in the program. If you are interested in becoming a cadet and meet the age criteria as stated above, then contact Damon Duncan, Glenn Duthie, or Kevin Demaree at 888-8337, or stop by the Runyon Road fire station on any Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm to get signed up.
