Fire heavily damages barn

       Fire ripped through a barn yesterday afternoon leaving significant damage behind.  Firefighters from the White River Township Volunteer Fire Department worked for over two hours to extinguish the blaze.  The barn is located on the west side of Morgantown Road about a quarter mile north of Olive Branch Road in northern White River Township.  Although no damage report is available at press time, investigators believe the fire may have been started by lightning that was in the area at the time of the initial report of the fire.
