Firefighters strive for safety

       In the midst of National Fire Prevention Week, Franklin personnel have been busy checking city buildings in search of safety hazards.  Today firefighters stop by a city grocery store for a spot inspection.  Firefighter Ron Herron, left and Lt. Winford Parton examine circuit breakers at the store.  In lower photo, Pat McDaniel of the White River Township Fire Department fields questions from first graders at Maple Grove Elementary School as White River firefighter Howard Bennis displays his fire gear.
