Man hospitalized for gunshot wound

       A rural Greenwood man was treated at St. Francis Hospital Center in Beech Grove early this morning and later transferred to Johnson County Memorial Hospital in Franklin after suffering an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.  Robert Leake, 37, 1682 West Stones Crossing Rd., is in stable condition at Johnson County Memorial Hospital. He apparently shot himself with a .22-caliber rifle in the kitchen of his residence, according to a Johnson County sheriff deputy’s report.  The report said Leake had left a suicide note.  Police were called to the home about 1 a.m.  (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
