Two women injured

       Two south suburban women were injured Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of State Road 135 and County Road 850N, White River Township. Debra Moreland, 21, 3030 Santiago Drive, Greenwood, and Joan Patterson, 47, Beech Grove, were both listed in fair condition this morning I St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. A passenger in the Patterson vehicle, Gloria L. Smith, 56, of Indianapolis, was treated and released. According to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Department report, Moreland was northbound on State Road 135 and Patterson southbound when the accident occurred. Police said two vehicles slowed in front of Moreland, but she failed to see them and veered left to avoid a collision, hitting the Patterson vehicle head-on.
