Teen suffers rifle wound
A
15-year-old Greenwood youth was injured Sunday when a rifle went off, according
to a report at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department. Police said John Goins,
Greenwood Route Two, was in his bedroom with the gun about 8:00 p.m. Sunday. The
gun apparently went off accidentally, according to police, and the bullet struck
the youth in the foot. Goins was taken to St. Francis Hospital Center in Beech
Grove, and was transferred to Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was listed in satisfactory condition this morning at the hospital.
