Man treated at hospital

A Johnson County Sheriff’s Department canine unit Monday night assisted authorities in locating a Greenwood man after his wife told police he had swallowed a half a bottle of insecticide. Police said the man fled from White River Township firefighters summoned to the man’s residence to administer first aid. According to an arrest report files by Deputy Stephens, he and his dog Mitya, tracked the subject approximately 200 yards from his residence. The dog located the subject in thick underbrush. The man was then apprehended and taken to Johnson County Memorial Hospital in Franklin for treatment.  (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
