Just for practice
More than 60 firefighters and emergency personnel took part earlier this month in a building collapse rescue course sponsored by the Tri County Firefighters at Camp Atterbury. “We want to teach the men that you can shore up walls, roofs and tunnels without calling a lumberyard, by using materials at the scene of a collapse,” stated J.D. Moore, a Wayne Township Indianapolis firefighter who led the training this session. The exercises were carried out in a dilapidated building at Atterbury.
