That's stretching things a bit

Although her car was mangled, Susan M. Jackson, 23, Greenwood Route Three, suffered only minor injuries in the accident on Morgantown Road near Center Grove High School. Deputy Bill Lucid, pictured at left, with Deputy Doran Miller and utility repairman, said Mrs. Jackson was traveling south about 5:15 a.m. when her 1975 Datsun 240Z slipped of the west side of the road, struck a culvert and flipped into the air. Lucid said the front end of the car apparently landed about 60 feet from the culvert, before the vehicle slammed into the utility pole. He said Mrs. Jackson, who suffered facial lacerations and other injuries, was apparently thrown from the vehicle when the roof separated from the lower section of the car. She was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, where authorities said she was treated and released. Assisting at the scene were members of the White River Township Fire Department and Myers Ambulance Service.  (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
