Portable water

Greenwood firefighters brought their own water and portable water tank to fight a barn fire in the southwest corner of the city Friday afternoon. The fire, which was discovered around 4:51 p.m., consumed a barn and storage shed. Four Greenwood fire trucks and two White River Township apparatus were on hand to fight the blaze. The cause of the fire at the Jess Vandyke residence, 869 West Smith Valley Road, remains under investigation.  (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
