Department starts cadet program

       The White River Township Volunteer Fire Department started a cadet program recently that educates youths ages fourteen to eighteen on the ins and outs of firefighting.  The idea is based on the premise that the department will train high school students to eventually become qualified volunteers upon turning eighteen.  The first two candidates are Bill Wilbur and Dave McAllister, shown below in the photo.
