Firefighters from county complete test
Ten Johnson County firefighters completed their final practical test to earn classification as second class firefighters recently at the Whiteland Fire Department. Classification as a second class firefighter requires 100 hours of fire training and first aid. Mike Moore, Amity; Mark Burgess, Bargersville; Jerry Harrington, David Wemmer, and Bill Wire White River Township; Phil Harmon, John LaFara and Dave Thompson, Whiteland, and Jim Logan and Pat McDaniel, Tri-County, were the area firefighters who completed testing. The course was sponsored by the Tri-County Fire Training Association and hosted by Whiteland Fire Department. Another second class school will be held on Wednesdays beginning March 29 during the day at Mooresville Fire Department and during the evenings at Harrison Township fire station in Waverly.
