Car fire probed
White River Township firemen are still investigating a car fire which completely destroyed a 1976 Pontiac about 2 a.m. this morning. The fire occurred at the home of Carroll Childress, 955 Santa Maria Drive, in the Eldorado subdivision. Though a cause for the blaze has not been found, Fire Chief Bob Wehrman said today “there is nothing to indicate that it was suspicious.” The fire was discovered by Mrs. Childress. Firemen were at the scene for nearly two hours since the car was parked next to the garage and a second car. (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal) See related follow-up story HERE.
