Demolition Derby ends county fair

       The concluding event for the 1977 Johnson County 4-H and Agricultural Fair was the annual demolition derby sponsored by the White River Township Jaycees. A portion of the large crowd that attended the event is behind the announcer’s desk where former Daily Journal sports editor Cliff Melvin handled the description of the event.  (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
