Rooftop firefighter
White River Township Volunteer Fire Department firefighter Randy Walters stands atop a roof to join fellow firefighters in extinguishing a blaze apparently caused by lightning at Troy’s Garage on State Road 135. The garage, operated by Troy Pearce, was heavily damaged by the blaze. Bargersville assisted in extinguishing the fire which broke out around 4:45 p.m. during the height of severe thunderstorms in northwestern Johnson County.
