State Instructor teaches fire investigation course
James Skaggs, right, a member of the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s staff, was the guest instructor Thursday night at the local class on fire investigation at the Franklin City Building fire station. The course, which ends Sunday with a test, is being sponsored by the Tri-County Fire Training Association. There will be about 15 graduates of the course, which when complete will include approximately 12 hours if instruction in determining the cause and origins of fires. Among the departments involved are: Franklin, White River Township, Amity, New Whiteland, Fruitdale (Brown County), Whiteland Rural and Nineveh. (Reprinted with permission of the Daily Journal)
