Aid sought for family
The Johnson County Red Cross has reported an additional need for furniture, bedding, and dishes for the Larry Voss family who were burned out of their Wheel Estates trailer on January 27. Friends, neighbors and the Lord’s Cupboard have contributed to the loss, but items are still needed. Those wishing to donate large items can arrange for pickup by calling the Red Cross at 736-5711 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., or in the evenings by calling 422-5932. Smaller items should be taken to the White River Township Volunteer Fire Department on Runyon Road in Smith Valley on Saturday between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon. Members of the Voss family, who are now staying in Indianapolis, do not need clothing items according to the announcement. (Reprinted with permission of the Daily Journal)
