Firefighters battle house trailer fire
Two firefighters
from the White River Township Fire Department battle intense heat while
containing fire to a house trailer in Wheel Estates trailer court near
Marion-Johnson County Line Road early Saturday. Four pieces of firefighting
equipment and 19 firefighters reported to the scene of the pre-dawn blaze at the
vacated E. R. Miller residence at lot 134 in Wheel Estates. The fire caused an
estimated $10,000 in damages, destroying the house trailer. However,
firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby house trailers. The
fire was reported to White River township volunteer firefighters shortly before
5 a.m. Saturday by Leonard R. Allison and his mother, Mrs. Patricia N.
