White River calls
White River Township Fire Department reported three fire runs over the weekend. The most serious fire occurred in Sutton's Trailer court off State Road 37 about 4:15 p.m. Sunday. A small trailer on Lot 60 and its contents were reportedly destroyed by fire of an undetermined origin. Investigation of the fire was being continued. Firemen were unable to give the name of the owner of the trailer. Total damage was estimated at $3,800. Bargersville Fire Department was also called to the scene.
White River firemen were called to 4064 Peaceful Place, the Charles Hines residence in Carefree Estates at 1:08 p.m. Sunday. A kitchen fire was reported. No extensive damage occurred.
Lightning
struck a barn on Stones Crossing Road west of Road 650 West at 7:51 a.m.
Saturday morning. David DeMott reported the small fire to the White River
Fire Department upon seeing the lightning hit and no extensive damage occurred.
