First aid, fire runs in White River Township

       White River Township firemen made six fire and first aid runs over the weekend. On Saturday about midday firemen were called to the Bill McCearry residence in the Hiatt addition, route four. No extensive damage occurred. Firemen said wires in a furnace overheated. At 5:40 p.m. Saturday firemen were called to the W.R. McAdams residence in Villa Heights. Ashes in a trash can caused a small fire. White River firemen were called by state police to the scene of a one-vehicle accident on Smith Valley Road near State Road 135 at 7 p.m. Saturday to wash down spilled gasoline. At 10 p.m. Saturday a run was made to the Glendale Trailer court on County Line Road. An electric outlet in a trailer occupied by the Andrew Nicholas family was reported. No extensive damage occurred. Sunday at 6:19 p.m. the fire department was called on a first aid run. Tim Mabe was taken to Riley Hospital in Indianapolis by Myers ambulance. At 11:48 p.m. Sunday the fire department made a first aid run on Greenwood route four. Jodi Surface was taken to Johnson County Memorial Hospital.
