Extensive fire damage

       White River Township firemen reported extensive damage in a truck fire New Year’s Day at the Glendale Trailer Court off County Line Road. Damaged was a 1964 Ford Van truck and its contents owned by Richard C. Vardaman, Greenwood route two, Box 2. Firemen were summoned to the fire at 1:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon. According to firemen, Vardaman was repairing an exhaust system on the truck when intense heat apparently ignited contents of the repair truck.  (Reprinted with permission of the Daily Journal)
