Firemen answer weekend calls
The White River Township Volunteer
Fire Department answered a fire call and made a first aid run over the recent
holiday weekend. Firemen were called at 8:25 p.m. Saturday to a car fire
on S.R. 37 south of Smith Valley Road. The vehicle involved in the
electrical fire was a 1960 Chevrolet owned by James Schartz, 1201 Bluff Crest,
Indianapolis. there was no estimate of damage to the vehicle, according to
firemen. Sunday at 4:20 a.m. the firemen received a first aid call to Lot
33, Wheel Estates in Greenwood. Mike Marlo, 23, complained of chest pains
and was taken by Myers Ambulance to St. Francis Hospital.
