White River firemen called to service station

White River Township Volunteer Firemen were called to the Standard Service Station on Indiana 37 at the Mt Pleasant Shopping Center at 10:57 a.m. Wednesday morning.  Burning trash threatened to spread to the service station building, but the fire was extinguished.  Old tires and batteries were burning;  firemen said new paint on the station building was scorched.  Damage was estimated at $100 in the fire.  Robert McDonald is owner of the Standard station.  (Courtesy of the Daily Journal)
