Three hurt on State Road 37
Three persons were injured in a
two-car crash on State Road 37 in one of several traffic accidents reported over
the weekend in Johnson County. the collision on Road 37 occurred about 9
p.m. Saturday night, two miles south of Smith Valley. Injured were Alford
G. Davis, 32, and Christianne Davis, of Indianapolis, and Robert E. Smallman,
43, Indianapolis. Johnson County deputy sheriff Jim Cisco said a 1963
Buick driven by Alford Davis, and a 1962 Chevrolet driven by Smallman, were in a
collision. Smallman suffered a compound fracture of the right arm and
collar bone injuries; Davis complained of a back injury and had a
laceration on the chin, Cisco reported. White River volunteer firemen and
a Greenwood rescue unit were summoned to the scene of the accident.
