Bomb may have caused car fire
White River Township Fire Chief Ed Hinkle said investigation shows a homemade fire bomb may have been placed under the hood of a Center Grove teacher’s sports car Tuesday night, causing the car to be damaged by fire.
Firemen were called to the high school at 9:45 pm to extinguish a fire in an auto owned by Terry Jameson, a high school teacher. Hinkle said “it appears someone placed a bomb next to the engine of Jameson’s auto. The fire broke out after the teacher started his car.” Sheriff’s authorities were called to investigate the incident.
White River firemen
Wednesday night were called to the Dave Rodgers residence, 42 Rita Drive, in the
Critchfield addition. A space heater in the garage at the Rodgers home caught
fire. No estimate of damage was available.
