Letter to the community

Hi Neighbor:  Your fire department is on the move.  Just recently we purchased a Plectron Radio Tone Alerting System.  This new system will enable us to receive your call and dispatch help much quicker.  Through the same system, we will also be able to have closer contact with our fire trucks.

We are having our annual fund drive now.  Due to our growing community, the fire department needs your help more and more so that it can grow with the community.  In the past years, the firemen have donated their time and stood the expenses on their cars to visit your home to solicit your donations so that it would be possible for the department to have operating funds.  This year we are sending out an open house invitation letter and enclosing your donation and alarm card.  This will be the department’s only way to receive operating funds from you.  The donation card is numbered on both ends.  This way we can have your correct address and the location of your property in case of fire.  We MUST have the part that has the address on it returned to us for our record files.  PLEASE RETURN THIS CARD as soon as possible WITH or WITHOUT your donation.

Remember the open house is Sunday, July 18, 1965 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  We’ll see you there!

Sincerely,

Ed Hinkle, Fire Chief
