New ladder given to fire department

       The Ladies’ Auxiliary of the White River Township Fire Department has provided the department with a 30-foot aluminum ladder.  One of the best ladders had been broken leaving only two, so this was a real need.  Mrs. Robert Phillips, president of the auxiliary, made the presentation to Russell Young, chief Firemen from the White River and Bargersville units are helping out at the games at Center Grove, each furnishing eight men rather than two, as they ordinarily do.  (Reprinted with permission from the Indianapolis Star)
