A new fire department is born

       At its regularly scheduled board meeting last night, the Smith Valley Community Center voted to permit the Smith Valley Volunteer Fire Department to operate fully independent of the Community Center from this point forward.  The newly formed unit will be called the “White River Township Volunteer Fire Department” and will operate under its own set of By-Laws and be responsible for all of its own financial obligations.  A copy of the new By-Laws is included below.  You can download a copy HERE in Microsoft Word format.
